Via No Looking Backwards, the Global Warmening Cult continues via this delightfully colorful game from ABC.net Australia that allows your child to find out when they should DIE based on their carbon-based resource consumption.  They answer a variety of questions, and then the game cheerily tells them that, based on their carbon “footprint” (xst, I am So Very Sick of that phrase), they should die when they’re 3.4 years old, or 8.8 years old, etc.

As a parent, this pisses me right the hell off.  As a logical human being, particularly in the complete absence of evidence of actual Warmening, I find it simply baffling.

People who fail to tackle climate change are acting like an Austrian man who locked his daughter in a cellar for 24 years, an Anglican bishop has said.

The Bishop of Stafford, Gordon Mursell, wrote in a parish letter that not confronting global warming meant people were “as guilty as” Josef Fritzl.

Personally, I think Mister Bishop there should have just used the word “shortsighted” instead.

The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of “settled science” and an overwhelming “consensus” in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.

As he enters his 25th year of predicting hurricane season activity, Colorado State University officials say handling media inquiries related to Gray’s forecasting requires too much time and detracts from efforts to promote other professors’ work.

“This is obviously a flimsy excuse and seems to me to be a cover for the Department’s capitulation to the desires of some (in their own interest) who want to reign (sic) in my global warming and global warming-hurricane criticisms,” Gray wrote to Dick Johnson, head of CSU’s Department of Atmospheric Sciences, and others.

Yellowstone officials say heavy snow has resulted in the breakdown of two bulldozers as road crews attempt to remove snow from park roads before they open for spring.

According to Nash, the snow is so deep in some places that the bulldozer operators have to push the snow off the roadway in layers to feed it to rotary plows that then blow it off the road surface.

Surely it’s albino moose poop, not snow.

Just as a point of interest…  We live somewhat north of the Tropic of Cancer, in a subtropical zone, and it was 50 degrees here this morning.

Coleman believes that the station he founded has been captured by alarmists, such as the Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen, who has advocated revoking the license of meteorologists that believe global warming can be explained by cyclical weather patterns and not human activity.

Ms. Cullen’s actual statement (from 2007) reads:

Meteorologists are among the few people trained in the sciences who are permitted regular access to our living rooms. And in that sense, they owe it to their audience to distinguish between solid, peer-reviewed science and junk political controversy. If a meteorologist can’t speak to the fundamental science of climate change, then maybe the AMS shouldn’t give them a Seal of Approval.

I find this statement a source of pure hilarity. Per Madam Cullen, meteorologists should distinguish between “peer-reviewed science” and “junk political controversy,” but if they don’t say Global Warmening is totally the fault of all of us stinky old humans then their license should be revoked. That’s quite the devotion to scientific ethics, no?
