We either must return to the vision of our Founding Fathers and right the ship of state, or we must pull a FTL stardrive out of our back pocket and leave. Unfortunately, the latter isn't happening anytime soon. We must do item number one.

Amendment 28 – Linking benefits of Federally Elected Officials to Service Members
1.	No federally elected official, nor their staff members, shall receive compensation greater than the highest paid Non-Commissioned Officer actively serving in the United States Military.
2.	Congress shall pass no law increasing the pay rate or grade of military personnel, which shall benefit their pay, without it being applied equally to the pay rates of all military personnel.
3.	Elected federal officials shall receive retirement for their public service according to the military system of 2 ½% per year of service, with a maximum of 75% of their highest pay, without regard to the number of years service.
4. Elected federal officials shall only be entitled to the same medical system and treatment as provided our veterans through the Veterans administration or succeeding agency.
5.	Pay shall be withheld and forfeit during any period of continuing resolution or when a full Federal Budget is not in effect.
6.	This amendment shall apply to all serving elected officials, and their staff members, upon first reelection after this article becomes valid as part of the Constitution.

I'm also hoping it passes because my daughter lives in Jacksonville.
Here in NC they are working on a bill that would allow CC in parks and restaraunts that serve alcohol (as long as there is no alcohol being consumed by the bearer). I'm hoping it passes, too.

Well said sir! What happened to the White Fleet? American hostages freed just because we got an *adult* in command instead of a "gentleman peanut farmer"? What happened to the will of a people that pulled themselves up by their own bootstraps; from poverty into the most powerful economy on the planet? What happened to the nation that saved Europe's collective bacon not once, but three times in one century? What happened to four letter responses to demands for surrender?

With all of those programs in place, do you notice that not one of the issues they are supposed to fix is actually any better? Besides these duplicates, it is also time to kill the dept of energy and the dept of education. We don't have more energy at a cheaper price nor our our kids better educated since these depts were created...time to cut them out root and branch.
