We either must return to the vision of our Founding Fathers and right the ship of state, or we must pull a FTL stardrive out of our back pocket and leave. Unfortunately, the latter isn't happening anytime soon. We must do item number one.

Amendment 28 – Linking benefits of Federally Elected Officials to Service Members
1.	No federally elected official, nor their staff members, shall receive compensation greater than the highest paid Non-Commissioned Officer actively serving in the United States Military.
2.	Congress shall pass no law increasing the pay rate or grade of military personnel, which shall benefit their pay, without it being applied equally to the pay rates of all military personnel.
3.	Elected federal officials shall receive retirement for their public service according to the military system of 2 ½% per year of service, with a maximum of 75% of their highest pay, without regard to the number of years service.
4. Elected federal officials shall only be entitled to the same medical system and treatment as provided our veterans through the Veterans administration or succeeding agency.
5.	Pay shall be withheld and forfeit during any period of continuing resolution or when a full Federal Budget is not in effect.
6.	This amendment shall apply to all serving elected officials, and their staff members, upon first reelection after this article becomes valid as part of the Constitution.

Dear Children:

I address you thus, not because I consider you to be childish (Oh, rather the opposite!), but because I am an old man, full of years, and I consider you to be my true children, in whom I can take much pride.

You have begun a good work, this process of taking back the country from those who would be tyrants. You would be and are free people, men and women, with those rights that all free people are endowed: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which should include the right to own, use, and dispose of their own property.

You have also made good use of a legacy of our Grand Father, Robert A. Heinlein, Jr., in his immortal work, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Thank you for that. It was inspired.

Nonetheless, I fear that I have some questions, which I believe need to be answered.

1. Where is the smile?

You have made stencils of Simon Jester, with horns, tail and crossed arms. This is a good beginning, and should be continued.

But where is the smile? That crooked, sarcastic, ironic smile, that pokes fun at the Warden or his spiritual children, those who would be Warden over you? This smile needs to be, if only to show that you have so little concern over your would-be controllers that you can even smile at them.

2. Where is the poetry and the scurrilous doggerel

Our Grand Father, RAH, told us that when Simon Jester wrote his words and left his sign "on the subway stalls/ and tenement halls" (to quote from the poet), he also left a poem, or doggerel, as a jest. This also needs to be.

In the belief that it is better to light one small stick of dynamite than to curse the silence, I offer the following limerick, if only to get the ball rolling:

There once was a man named Barack
Who suffered a panic attack
When his call for a change
 Gave his lackeys the mange,
Since his foes made the choice to change back!

I fully expect you to do better than this. But you can do no less.

3. Where is the learning?
The main difference between the tragedy of the French Revolution of 1789 and the American Revolution of 1776 is that the Founding Fathers and many other citizens took upon themselves the task to become educated in ways of political theory that actually works. If we are to avoid the mistakes of the French Revolution, and enjoy the success of the American Revolution, we can ourselves do no less.

With the thought that this might actually help, I suggest that you might want to look in the following web address:

http://www.constitution.org

I think that you will find matter here to think on, and to help you to make good choices in the work that you are doing. If you find this to be good, I have other sources of knowledge that I may suggest.

4. Where is El Profesor?

This movement which you are beginning, if it is to be true to the vision of RAH, should also have El Profesor Bernardo de la Paz, if only for his quixotic courtesy, and his Socratic quality of being an inconvenient pain in the backside when the need arose. I note that you have one who calls himself 'Prof', and who has given you your call to action. If that one will continue to write on your behalf, I will withdraw this proposal.

But if you need one who will take the part, I would be happy to act and to write on your behalf.

In that hope, I sign myself (as I am not of the stature of El Profesor Bernardo de la Paz)

Bob Heinlein practically raised me, and "Moon" is one of his best. Sadly, as with RAH's citizens of the Moon of many races and cultures, I fear the Government has gone too far and become too elitist and oppressive to gracefully accede to its downsizing and loss of authority. I know what the Constitution says, but the "inside the Beltway" folks have not read or followed it for a very long time, and are narrowly focused on both their privileges and their increasing powers. Tom Jefferson may have been right when he opined, "A little revolution from time to time is a good thing".

In ADDITION to all other activities, might I suggest internalism? Local parties ARE starting to notice us, the grumbling minority in the middle of chaos. Whether by telling the truth or by deception, I believe it is VITAL that huge numbers of SJ suddenly find themselves appointed delegates at state and national conventions of BOTH parties.
Imagine an exceptionally loud, militant, cap wearing "Rabble" that refuse to be removed from the floor at said conventions. That is where the rev. is going to start. Bring back the chicago 7

As soon as I spotted this site I knew RAHs work was involved.

Those who refuse to support and defend a state have no claim to protection by that state. Killing an anarchist or a pacifist should not be defined as "murder" in a legalistic sense. The offense against the state, if any, should be "Using a deadly weapon inside city limits," or "Creating a traffic hazard," or "Endangering bystanders," or other misdemeanor.
However, the state may reasonably place a closed season on these exotic asocial animals whenever they are in danger of becoming extinct.

Natural laws have no pity

You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once.

Now that I know this is here I will have to check it out more often.
