Favruh, Farrrvvee, Favor… That Guy.

I never cared much about Brett Favre, nor really gave him much thought. He seemed to come to work and do his job, which is more than you can say about a lot of NFL players. So I’m somewhat perplexed by all the negative waves* I’m seeing about his decision to un-retire.
Who cares? Really? Michele thinks he’s pulling some diva act, and maybe he is…but how could you tell with that face?
And if he is, well, he’s not the most overrated player in NFL history, he does actually have some talent. So what’s the problem? Just that he changed his mind? Do people believe he did the mind-changing because he missed all the attention? Gods, give the guy a break. If he’s healthy, and he can cut it physically, why shouldn’t he play?
Well, unless he’s coming to Tampa…then we’re going to have a problem.

So he’s coming back, and so he’s going to another team. And people all over the country are changing jobs.
I’ve never understood the hero worship bestowed on athletes, though I do enjoy their performance. Fact is, though, they are paid to perform, as are other employees, so I’m not particularly impressed that they should be special. If he or anyone else wants to leave the “retired” force and rejoin the employee rolls, that’s fine with me, and if he wants to work someplace else, that’s fine, too.
Bottom lone for me is that he’s an employee, a highly paid one, but an employee nevertheless.
