Throwing Them Just Didn’t Work

From a Consumerist piece on a sploding firearm (and the manufacturer’s subsequent lack of concern) a bit of wisdom you lot probably already knew but I’m just now coming across:

…bullets kill people. Guns just get the bullets going really, really fast.

Struth.

    I can’t say I blame FN, sounds like the guy effed up a reload on what is by nature a very high pressure cartridge.

    That was the consensus in the comments on that post. And a beeg reason I have no particular desire to take up reloading as a hobby.

    My grandfather used to do reloads and handloads, but I don’t think he does it anymore. Mostly shoots .22LR to remove destructive pests like skunks and squirrels anymore. One of those bitter rural Pennsylvanians who clings to his guns.
